Operation Sandpit

If you are wondering where to find me.... here's a few snaps of Doha!

I am 3 months into an 8 month contract here, working on the Asian Games being held in December. The Asian Games are the second biggest international sporting event, after the summer olympics and will be bigger than Melbourne 2006 Comm Games.... I know, who'd have thought there would ever be anything bigger!
But nonetheless here we are.... half of M2006 have found themselves in the desert and 'Operation Sandpit' is well underway.

It is hard to think back to my first impressions of Doha, it seems like such a long time ago! But in short.... hot, dusty, under construction.... but after three months I would like to add.... crazy, half-built, falling down, ten times hotter than I ever thought possible, uneventful. And thats really it in a nutshell....
But there is one thing, and basically one thing only that is keeping everybody here - and that is TEAM SANDPIT!

I don't think I could have asked for a better group of people to be stuck in the desert with. We make ourselves up of three groups really with crews from M2006, Torino and Athens.... and I think we have all adopted the motto that 'Doha is what you make it' and are trying to live it up!
